A privileged natural area where the wild beauty of its granite landscape with a rich and varied fauna and flora stands out. The Duero River acts as a natural border between Spain and Portugal, flowing between large rocky cliffs that can reach 200 meters in height. Viewpoints, waterfalls, railways, river cruises, canyoning and beaches. Kilometres of trekking, BTT and landscapes at your disposal.
Cozy old family stone house in the Arribes del Duero Natural Park, declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO. It is located in the village Zarza de Pumareda, an area on the border with Portugal.
The house is surrounded by tranquility and beauty, in a region full of peace and nature. Beautiful rural area that creates a perfect hiding place surrounded by nature.
It was built by my great-grandparents 100 years ago and I am restoring and updating it little by little with the help of my uncle Bosco.
It does not need air conditioning, as it is cool in summer due to its thick stone walls.
It is simple, spacious and bright. Guests can access the entire house. I invite you to discover it and to make yourself at home.
Relax, exercise and enjoy a protected natural environment and rest in an old house that offers you everything you need.
You will be the first one to receive the latest news about La Casita de la Zarza!
